'His Seed' - view 2

This series represents a fusion plant and body, and addresses our ideas about fertility and reproduction. Nearly all forms of reproduction, Human, botanical, and otherwise rely on a form of intercourse to fertilize their seed and continue the life cycle. My plant forms are infused with subtle sexual connotations and bodily parts that humans find familiar and essential to sexual and reproductive relationships. These elements entice the viewer to expand on their own notions of sex as an essential life force, and not just a pleasurable one.

Hydraulic pressed Copper and Brass work done with Repousee. Outfitted with 5 knuckled hinge and interior latch. Interior copper treated with liver of sulfur, and exterior colored with Prismacolor Pencil.
